The Rice University BioScience Research Collaborative project included interior build-outs on Levels 1, 3, 7, and 10. Level 1 included event and conference space with audio-visual components, a small serving area, and modular walls for maximum flexibility. Level 3 included 10,000 square feet of wet lab space with 18 fume hoods, and Level 7 included laboratory and support spaces. The build-out project on the 10th floor houses two research groups: the Center for Theoretical Biological Physics (CTBP) and Houston Area Translation Research Consortium (HATRC). All projects were successfully constructed without any disruptions to the sensitive laboratories on the surrounding floors.
